AHA
Land Art, 2016. Series of 7 ephemeral installations using 47 meters of fabric across 1 hectare of Altos de Lircay National Park, Chile. 23rd-30th of july, 2016

AHA was the opening gesture of Le Vide AUM, a spiritual experience.
Seven days in the mountains of southern Chile with my brother Felix. We fasted, meditated, and danced to stay warm. It was a deep winter, and one day it even snowed.

On the first day, I selected one hectare of forest, surveyed it, measured every tree, and produced a plan. That piece of land became my canvas, on which I drew using 47 meters of yellow fabric. Each day I repeated the process of wrapping and unwrapping the fabric in a new position, gradually composing a trace across this canvas. Every tree is traced and coded on the fabric.

This work sought only presence: to open the void and inhabit it.

After returning from this journey, on August 1st, 2016, I experienced my LVAUM ABA opening accident.
